MSc (Med) in the field of Child Health Community Paediatrics

A combination of lectures, student-led seminars and discussions, group work sessions and experiential or outcome-based site visits are employed across modules to cover course material and to promote achievement of relevant course competencies. These activities are supplemented by the provision of essential background and topic-relevant readings, e-learning and online forum discussions facilitated through the Wits e-learning platform.

A strong competency and skills-based component is incorporated into each module and is usually promoted through ‘in-class’ group-based activities and ‘at home’ individual self-directed reading and reflection.
